Experience one of the most beloved films of all time on the big screen as The Shawshank Redemption comes to the Star Theatre in Uppers Sandusky as part of Ohio Goes to the Movies™, a statewide celebration of Ohio’s role in America 250.

Following each screening, stick around for a special panel featuring local extras and others involved in the filming, along with a few surprise guests sharing behind-the-scenes stories.
Make a night of it by stopping by Traum Brewing, located just across the alley, where you’ll find Shawshank-themed beers like Red’s Ale and Banker’s Blonde, plus a special Pioneer-style brew inspired by early American traditions.
